Clarke Construction featured in Season 10 of Room to Improve (Episode 4) in Feb 2017.
As part of this we took on an exciting project under the direction of Dermot Bannon of DBA (Dermot Bannon Architects).
This project involved taking an old family home which was full of emotion for the clients and turning it into a new, modern version which would be suitable for creating new memories for Hannah, James & their twin sons. We completely renovated what was the existing house and extended the rear of the home with a new L shaped extension which created a larger open plan kitchen with a lower level living room complete with stove to allow the family to feel like they could get away from the open plan space and into a more secluded, cosy living room with views of the garden.
Within this house there was 3 Ensuite shower rooms and 1 main bathroom along with 5 double bedrooms.
All areas of the house where altered to make the new layout more suitable for Hannah, James and the boys.
This was a very enjoyable project for all at Clarke Construction as all staff and subcontractors built up a very good relationship with both the owners and the boys with site foreman Alan even acting as child minder on occasion for site meetings which made for good fun on site.
What we try to do on every project we undertake is ensure that good relationships and good lines of communication are formed between the contractor and the home owners.
We all hope our clients are very happy in their new home.
